Born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, I am a proud wife and mother of two. I’ve been happily married to my best friend for fifteen years, and when I’m not seeing clients, I’m usually outside in the sunshine, working in my flower beds, repurposing old furniture, or spending time with my animals. Our family also includes two dogs, two cats, and a bearded dragon. Life is full, and I believe healing should help you experience the fullness of your own, too.
My Approach:
I believe in client-centered care—meeting you where you are in life and helping you build on your strengths. My treatment style emphasizes perspective. By teaching as we go, I help clients better understand the “why” behind their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while equipping them with the skills to grow, cope, and thrive independently. We don’t dwell on the past. While we can’t change it, we can change how we view it. Shifting your perspective can shift your life—and I’m here to help you do just that.
What you can expect:
Battling mental and behavioral health issues is hard enough without the added weight of shame or stereotypes. Whether you're a first responder, a parent, a professional, or someone simply trying to survive the day—there is no judgment here. Just a new way forward.

Hi, I’m Zayda Cunningham — a Certified Social Worker with a passion for helping individuals heal, grow, and navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Eastern Kentucky University and my Master’s degree from the University of Kentucky. I am currently under supervision, working toward my independent license. Over the past two years, I’ve worked closely with individuals facing anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, grief, and substance use. Outside of my work, I’m a proud dog mom to three pups! I enjoy spending time with them and connecting with loved ones.
Hi! I’m McKenna, a Certified Social Worker in Kentucky with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and find lasting healing. I earned both my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Kentucky. In 2025, I further advanced my clinical training by completing the two-year Advanced Psychotherapy Program at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute, which strengthened my skills in providing thoughtful, in-depth, and effective care.
My specific areas of interest include anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and personality disorders. Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse population of patients, with a particular focus on those impacted by substance use disorders and trauma. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and the importance of tailoring therapy to meet each person’s unique needs.
My approach to psychotherapy is empathetic, individualized, and approachable. I am passionate about helping patients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, empowering them to uncover the root causes of their struggles and develop meaningful strategies for change. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and encouraged to grow. Whether you are seeking relief from emotional pain, working through trauma, or striving for greater self-awareness, I am here to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing and transformation.
